Add Sport Package for Rear Wheel Steering

If you really want to make an impression on your friends, add the Sport package to your new Porsche 911 and you’ll get specially designed mirrors, a two-mode exhaust, special steering wheel and a sport chrono package. You’ll also get rear-wheel steering, which delivers outstanding control when combined with the PTM. This combination takes fast corners and tames them while keeping you moving swiftly and smoothly through the slower corners. Combine all these features with the 420 horsepower twin-turbo engine to make the run from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.2 seconds. Put that under your Christmas tree.

Connect to the World With PCM

Porsche Communication Management (PCM) is the telemetry package that lets you connect to the outside world as well as receive real-time traffic updates with online navigation. Utilizing Google Street View and Google Earth lets you zoom in on neighborhoods before heading there. A 7-inch multitouch screen is your window to control the unit, or you can use advanced voice recognition software. Cell phone preparation makes it easy to connect your smartphone to the system, or you can use the telephone module with your SIM card for enhanced voice quality. Eight strategically-placed speakers bathe you and your passenger in concert quality sound. Head to Porsche of Tucson today and sit in the cockpit of a new 911 to experience why it is consistently recognized as one of the most iconic sports cars in history.

From Classic to Carrera, 911 Stands Test of Time

The Porsche 911 debuted in 1963 with an air-cooled engine and the moniker “901.” Peugeot charged trademark infringement and the company was forced to change the name to 911. From the original 128 horsepower engine, the 911 evolved through the years with the introduction of the 911 Carrera RS in 1973 and the 964 Series in 1989. The 964 introduced 4-wheel drive into the equation, as well as electronic management of the automatic transmission. Water-cooled engines made their arrival in 1989 in the 996 series.
