True Sports Cars Provide Reward for Job Well Done

You studied hard in school, graduated at the top of your class and are now doing well in your chosen field. As you’ve worked your way up through the company while settling for a series of low-priced imports to haul your family around, you knew something was missing. Those cars worked well to get from point A to B, but as far as fun goes, those vehicles were definitely lacking. You just sent your last kid off to college and your finances are in order. It’s time to reward yourself for a life well-lived with a true sports car, either the 2017 Porsche Carrera 4 or Targa 4, available for test drive at Porsche of Tucson in April of 2016.

New All-wheel Drive System Provides Traction Advantage

Slip behind the wheel of the 2017 911 Carrera 4 or Targa 4 and you immediately have the advantage of increased stability due to a new all-wheel drive system that is integrated both with the turbocharged engines and the Porsche Active Suspension Management System. The result is a reduced ride height that not only provides a lower center of gravity for handling tough corners, but also dials in a higher level of ride comfort. If you choose the Carrera 4S or Targa 4S models, you also have the option of adding rear wheel steering to provide even greater maneuverability in the city or on closed track courses.

New Engines Provide Power and Efficiency

Porsche engineers have used the knowledge gained in 40 years of racing experience to develop a new 3.0-liter 6-cylinder twin turbo engine that provides 20 more horsepower than previous models. Now generating 370 horses, the engine propels the 911 Carrera 4 from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.9 seconds. The Targa accomplishes the same feat in just 0.2 seconds more. Top speeds for both models fall between 178 and 189 miles per hour, or enough to get you a real speeding ticket. Although EPA fuel figures have not yet been released, Porsche says the new engine provides 12 percent greater fuel efficiency than past models. Although the new models won’t be available at Porsche of Tucson until next April, there are plenty of current models available now for a test drive that will really get your heart pumping.

New Connectivity Package Offers Apps and Real-time Navigation

The Porsche Communication package in the 2017 Carrera 4 and Targa 4 will have standard navigation on the 7-inch screen. With controls similar to a smartphone, you can also use handwritten input to set your route or find out traffic information in real-time. Both the iOS and Android phone systems can easily be integrated into the system, allowing you to focus on the road while you’re putting your new Porsche through its paces.
