New Cayenne Turbo Hits 60 in 3.7 Seconds

Porsche made a big splash at the recent Frankfurt International Motor Show, unveiling the 2019 Porsche Cayenne Turbo. The latest incarnation of the popular Cayenne has once again set the mark for performance in the SUV market, going from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.7 seconds with a top track speed of 177 mph. Powered by a 4.0L V8 that produces 550 horsepower and a smile-raising 567 pound-feet of torque, the new Cayenne promises to raise the bar on fun. You can order your new Cayenne this winter at Porsche of Tucson and expect delivery in the fall of 2018.

Lightweight Chassis Boosts Performance

The new Porsche Cayenne Turbo features a lightweight chassis that combines air suspension with the Porsche Active Suspension Management system to give tighter handling and less body roll than ever before. Using the new three-chamber air suspension system helps the chassis to map a greater range of spring tension than previous models, improving both the comfort of the ride and the handling. You can choose from six different ride heights and five different terrain settings for the ultimate in control and clearance. Choose the default setting for the highway, and then adjust for rock, sand, mud or gravel as needed when you take your Cayenne on the trail. Optional rear-axle steering improves the control even more. Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control helps keep your Cayenne stable, while vector control adjusts the power to the wheels slightly to storm through those pinpoint curves.

Adaptive Spoiler Increases Efficiency

The 2019 Porsche Cayenne Turbo comes with an adaptive spoiler on the roof to increase efficiency while adding to the downward force on the rear axle. Used as an airbrake, the spoiler can also help you to stop quickly in the case of an emergency. The use of the spoiler decreases the length to come to a complete stop by almost seven feet from previous models when traveling at 155 mph. A new high-performance braking system comes standard on the Turbo, delivering a tungsten carbide coated layer applied to the cast-iron disc brakes to increase stopping power and cut down on brake dust.

More Horsepower Equals More Fun

The new V8 delivers 30 more horsepower than the current Cayenne Turbo model. Paired with the Porsce Traction Management system and a new 8-speed automatic transmission, that means greater acceleration, cruising comfort and ultimately, fun. Porsche has integrated the turbo chargers into a central layout, reducing the exhaust paths and improving responsiveness as you step on the accelerator. Stop in soon at Porsche of Tucson to see about putting your order in for the new Cayenne Turbo.
