JD Power Study Says 911 Tops in Segment

Even if you don’t know too much about cars, chances are if you were asked to name the best sports car, you might say a Porsche 911. Once again, the 911 took the top spot among all nameplates for recognizability, as well as first place in its segment in the latest J.D. Power Initial Quality Study. More than 80,000 people were surveyed about 245 different model cars. “Thrilled customers are what drives us on,” said Porsche AG chairman Oliver Blume. “All of our staff work with great dedication every day to provide our customers with the very special Porsche quality. It is the result of intensive work that is characterized at every stage and in every area by a love for the perfect sports car.” See the love and care put into each vehicle with a trip to Porsche of Tucson.

Macan Secures Top Spot in Compact SUV Category

While everyone has heard of the Porsche 911, the Porsche Macan is a relatively new model that continues to turn heads. Customers are so impressed with the build and performance of the Macan that it took first place in the Compact Premium SUV category for the second year in a row. “Every Porsche is proof of our comprehensive quality standard,” according to Porsche Board Member Albrecht Reimold. “Sportspeople judge themselves in competition by data and KPIs – and that’s exactly how Porsche builds its sports cars too. Our employees are aware of this challenge, which is a joy and an incentive at the same (time).”

Power Study Based on Initial Impressions

The JD Power study talks to car owners after the first 90 days of vehicle ownership. This is the 30th year for the study, which includes 233 criteria in the questionnaire. A couple of category examples include “driving experience” and “engine and transmission.”

Quality Something Porsche Customers Expect

“Top quality is an essential component of our brand identity at Porsche and it’s something our customers come to expect from us as well,” according to Frank Moser, Corporate Quality Chief for Porsche AG. “The difficult challenge is to not only maintain this high level (of quality), despite the rapid pace of technological change and the significantly increasing complexity of our products, but to also improve upon it in our new generation models.” Experience the quality for yourself with a drive to Porsche of Tucson. Slam the doors, honk the horn, but more importantly take a test drive to see just how special it is to own a Porsche.
