Porsche Unveils Three New Models in Geneva

GT3, Sport Turismo, Panamera Hybrid Dominate Show

When it comes to unveiling new models, few automakers doe it as well as Porsche. The legendary car company took advantage of the recent Geneva Auto Show to unveil the all new Porsche 911 GT3, Panamera Sport Turismo and Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid. Look for all three models on the showroom floor at Porsche of Tucson in the coming months.

911 GT3 Intensifies Connection Between Road and Track

With a high revving four-cylinder flat engine that’s virtually the same as that in the 911 GT3 Cup race car, the Porsche 911 GT3 is an intense machine that delivers superior handling and phenomenal performance. This small car generates 500 horses, but a redesigned chassis with rear axle steering actually improves handling to help you keep all that power under control. You can go from 0 to 62 mph in just 3.9 seconds on your way to a top speed of 320 kilometers per hours (199 mph). The new 911 GT3 sits lower than the 911 Carrera S, providing an “on rails” feel when you power through a corner.

Unmistakable Panamera Design Generates 550 Horsepower

In what’s been described as a cross between a futuristic station wagon and a sports car, the unmistakable Porsche Panamera has a new model that delivers plenty of room for people and cargo while not skimping on the performance you’ve come to expect from a Porsche. “For Porsche, the Panamera Sport Turismo is a step forwards into a new segment, but retains all of those values and attributes that are characteristic of Porsche,” according to the company’s director of style, Michael Mauer. The Panamera Sport Tursimo features an adaptive rear spoiler that adjusts according to the driving mode, speed and conditions to create more or less downforce on the rear end.

Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid is Flagship

The new Porsche Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid is the flagship of the Panamera lineup, combining a V8 engine with an electric motor to not only create maximum efficiency, but also generate a whopping 680 horsepower. This Panamera is not your aunt’s hybrid as it can go from 0 to 62 mph in just 3.4 seconds and tops out at just under 200 mph. With all-wheel drive combined with Porsche’s intelligent chassis design, the Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid sets the stage for performance driving in the future. Make sure and check in frequently with the pros at Porsche of Tucson to see when all the new models will be available for a test drive.
