Refreshed 911 GTS Delivers 450 Horse Thrill Ride

Larger Turbos Create More Power

The 2017 Porsche 911 GTS has adopted the same new twin turbocharged engine that already powers the 2017 Porsche 911 and 911 S. The 3.0L F-6 motor generates 450 horsepower and a grin-inducing 405 pound-feet of torque, which is 20 horses and 80 pound-feet more than the outgoing naturally aspirated flat-six engine. Porsche generates the extra horsepower by using larger turbochargers to flood the engine with oxygen. See what a thrill ride all that horsepower creates when you take a trip to Porsche of Tucson for a test drive.

Be the First to Hit 60 MPH

Unless your competition is driving a rocket car, chances are that you’ll be the first to 60 mph when you drive the new 911 GTS. When outfitted with the PDK transmission, Porsche says the GTS will go from 0 to 60 in just 3.4 seconds, or about the fifth of the time it takes you to scream “HOLEY MOLEY.” There is a danger that such power could be a little overwhelming in untrained hands, which is why the Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) system is standard on every GTS. Suspension management reads the road using sensors to adjust your handling and help keep the driver in control. You’ll find it extremely helpful when your utilizing the Porsche App and Sport Chrono Package to record all your lap times.

New Design Provides More Downward Push

A new black spoiler lip on the front and taller spoiler in the rear help provide downward push to keep your new Porsche 911 GTS gripping the road and taking corners as if it were on rails. Black is the new fashion for other exterior elements, making an appearance on the taillights, rear grille and exhaust tips. Choose the rear-drive GTS to get a black strip running from tail light to taillight, while the all-wheel drive has a light strip separating the taillights. Black side mirrors, 20-inch wheels and black GTS door badging are other features of the new design.

Cabriolet Offers Top Down Excitement

If you’re looking for an adventure with the breeze in your hair, head to Porsche of Tucson to test drive the new Porsche 911 GTS Cabriolet. Porsche Exclusive lets you personalize your Cabriolet with features like chrome tailpipe tips, platinum wheels, black tinted headlights with their own cleaning system, a leather rear view mirror and much more. Along with PASM, the Cabriolet comes with standard Porsche Traction Management, Porsche Stability Management and Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus to help you remain in control.
