The Boxster is Porsche’s entry-level model and one of Porsche of Tucson‘s most popular models. Since it was introduced almost 20 years ago, it has become one of the most dynamic cars on the road. The mid-engine 2-passenger sport convertible Boxster has been continuously improved and has now become the benchmark used to judge all other Porsches.

The Porsche Boxster underwent a significant update for 2013. This update led to a larger platform, which produced a car that is more comfortable and improved its overall stability. The 2015 model line-up is joined by an even more powerful GTS, which offers to attract the weekend enthusiast driver and track fanatic.

The 3.4-liter flat 6 engine rear-wheel-drive is directly fuel injected. And in addition to Porsche’s VarioCan Plus technology, the new Boxster outputs 330 horsepower at 6,700 rpm and 272 lb.-ft. of torque at 1750-2500 rpm. The car’s centre of gravity is kept low and centered. This is due to the mid-mounted design and weight distribution between the front and rear axles, which is nearly perfect. You would expect this level of precision in much more expensive cars, but the Porsche Boxster proves to have outstanding road manners and unparalleled handling.

The Boxster comes in two other versions—Sport and Sport Plus, for those who want more out of their Boxster. The setting can be activated by the touch of a button, which sharpens handling while optimizing driver, engine and suspension controls.

The short-throw 6-speed manual transmission comes standard. The Sport Chrono Package gives the Boxster the boost to go from 0 to 100km/h in just 5 seconds. The optional Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK) automatic transmission reaches 100 km/h in only 4.9 seconds. The Boxster itself reaches a top speed of 281 kph.

On the fuel economy side, the 2015 Boxster GTS has a 19 mpg (12.1 L) for city driving and offers a 26 mpg (8.9 L) on the highway.

The Boxster’s surprisingly spacious interior features black bucket sport seats with Alcantara inserts. The SportDesign steering wheel and gear lever are wrapped in grip enhancing material. The seatbelts have a hint of red thread along the side and GTS logo in the headrests that is embroidered in red. The grip enhancing material is also on the lower section of the dashboard, the doors and the centre console.

The Porsche Boxster GTS is striking and stimulating to drive. Look no further if you want a sports car with first rate levels of performance, refined appointments, and enormous curb appeal. The 2015 Porsche Boxster GTS should be at the top of your list.

The base MSRP price for the 2015 Boxster GTS is $83,900.
