Special Edition 2016 Porsche Panamera Offers New Standard Features


A new special edition of the Porsche Panamera Sports sedan comes with an extensive list of standard equipment, along with its usual elegant styling. Two versions with powerful 6-cylinder engines will be available for the Panamera edition and the Panamera 4 edition. Both have engines that delivers 310 horsepower. The Panamera 4 edition features an all-wheel-drive and an electronically controlled multi-plate clutch with Porsche Traction Management (PTM).

The 3.6-liter 6-cylinder engine that outputs 310 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque, has a dual-clutch transmission that powers both models. The Panamera edition with the Sport Chrono Package, does 0 to 60 miles per hour in 5.7 seconds. The Panamera can also reach a top speed of 160.9 miles per hour. With the sports package, the Panamera 4 Edition does the 0 to 60 miles per hour sprint in 5.5 seconds and reaches a top speed of 159.7 miles per hour.

On the outside of the Panamera special edition, subtle design tones such as high-gloss black trims and strips are featured on the side windows. The 19-inch alloy wheels are standard and the wheel center features a colorful Porsche logo.

The inside of the Panamera Edition presents a two-tone standard black and Luxor Beige, with a Porsche logo on all head rests. The color layout is also transferred to the sport design steering wheel and door plates, with special “Edition” floor mats.

The 2016 Porsche Panamera will of course come with the standard Porsche Communication Management (PCM) system that includes a 7-inch touchscreen, that combines audio, navigation, and communication capabilities. Other standard technical features for the Panamera Edition version consist of Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) that provides better ride quality and precision handling. When required, Bi-Xenon™ headlights with Porsche Dynamic Light System (PDLS), Park Assist with front and rear reversing cameras, and Power Steering Plus, make parking and reversing into tight spots a cinch. U.S. versions of the Panamera are loaded with 14-way comfort seats in the front, which includes a comfort memory package. The vehicle also includes heated seats in the front and rear.

The Panamera Edition goes on sale in the USA in June 2015. Selling prices will begin at an MSRP of $80,000 for the Panamera Edition and a MSRP of $84,300 for the Panamera 4 Edition.
