Sport Turismo Adds Little Kick to Panamera

Most Versatile Offering Combines Sport and Utility

With a low loading deck, large tailgate and increased luggage compartment, the Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo delivers an athletic option to solve the hauling problems of the everyday commute. “For Porsche, the Panamera Sport Turismo is a step forwards into a new segment, but retains all of those values and attributes that are characteristic of Porsche,” according to the company’s director of style, Michael Mauer. The two most common Porsche attributes anyone thinks of are performance and handling, and the Panamera Sport Turismo has those in spades. With 550 available horsepower and a tuned suspension built on lessons learned from the European racing circuit, this isn’t your grandpa’s station wagon. See how much fun a utility vehicle of this magnitude is to drive when you visit Porsche of Tucson.

Unique Design Carved Out of Panamera

The Sport Turismo’s unique design starts at the rear doors, when the sloping roofline and long contour dips dramatically toward the rear, extending into an adaptive spoiler. The spoiler is adjustable depending on the driving condition, delivering more downward thrust on the rear axle to give you greater control. As part of the Porsche Active Aerodynamics system, the spoiler also reduces drag to optimize fuel efficiency.

Digital Cockpit Just One Tech Advancement

The Sport Turismo will offer the Porsche Advanced Cockpit, where drivers can choose what important vehicle information to display. Other advancements like rear axle steering, electronic roll stabilization and Porsche Traction Management are also offered on the latest edition to the Porsche lineup, as are driver safety features such as adaptive cruise control.

Unique Seat Configuration Offers Versatility

The Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo offers three rear seats, with two individual seats on the outside for comfort and flexibility. A four rear seat configuration is also available with electric adjustment for easy access. The raised roof line also makes getting in and out of the rear a snap, as well as providing more cargo room in the back. When you fold all the back seats down, the loading floor is level to make it easy to haul cargo or roll out a sleeping bag on one of those long road trips. Porsche also offers a luggage compartment management system for the Sport Turismo. Two rails are integrated into the floor with lashing points for tie-downs and a partition net to keep cargo and people separate. The new Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo is scheduled for launch this fall in Europe. It will offer five different engines, including a diesel, a turbocharged option and an e-hybrid. Stay tuned to Porsche of Tucson to find out when it will first make an appearance in the U.S. market.
