The 2015 Porsche Cayenne Combines SUV and Sports Car


With the Porsche logo on its hood and liftgate, you can expect exceptional performance from the 2015 Cayenne SUV. The 2015 Cayenne is the ultimate mixture of family utility with awesome power and performance. With blazing acceleration, steering and high tech braking, you get all the expected luxury with the 2015 Cayenne. It can tow up to 7,716 lbs and still outperform most sport cars. The 2015 Cayenne SUV also comes in 5 trims: S, S E-Hybrid, Diesel, Turbo, and Turbo S. The 2015 lineup at Posche of Tucson will also include the first ever plug-in luxury hybrid SUV, the S E-hybrid.

All 5-engine choices of the 2015 Porsche Cayenne have AWD and an 8-speed automatic transmission. The diesel model is powered by a very efficient turbocharged V6 engine. The Cayenne S has a twin-turbocharged V6 engine that produces 420 hp. With the synchronous electric motor, the S E-Hybrid 3.0 liter V6 puts out 428 hp, 95 of which comes from the electric motor. At the high end are the Turbo and Turbo S, which spew out an awesome 520 and 570 hp respectively from the 4.8-liter V8 twin turbocharged engine. The Turbo S also does an impressive 0 to 60 mph in only 3.8 seconds.

The best performing Cayenne in terms of fuel efficiency is the S E-Hybrid, which has an estimated 47 mpg in electric mode.

The Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus (PTV Plus) system enhances cornering by delivering extra power to the outside back wheel while rounding corners; therefore assisting the Cayenne better comply with input from the steering wheel. The Cayenne reacts like a nimble sports car thanks to the PTV plus, Dynamic Chassis Control and Active Suspension.

The interior of the 2015 Cayenne is spectacular with finely stitched leather and highlights of metal and wood. The rear seat riders have a pair of LCD screens at the back of the front headrests and the rear seats also recline. The Cayenne’s cockpit has numerous buttons, knobs and switches that all serve a good purpose and will take some getting used to.

The exterior of the Cayenne is built for speed with its muscular curves and rear windows that lean forward. The brake calipers denote the model with the diesel in black, the S and S E-Hybrid in silver and the turbo model in red. Furthermore, the 2015 turbo model sports a larger trapezoidal grille and 4 exhaust outlets at the back.
