Soon to be available at an Arizona Porsche dealer near you, the new 2014 Porsche Macan is Porsche’s second crossover vehicle, smaller than the ever-popular Cayenne model released in North America in 2003.

Many details surrounding this new luxury vehicle have been kept under wraps prior to its official launch, but thanks to some sneak peak photos on the company’s Facebook page, it is clear that the Porsche Macan is sure to take its place as a premium rival to the Range Rover Evoque and the BMW X3.  Sharing a chassis with the Audi Q5, which is sure to provide intense contact with the road ahead, the Porsche Macan will be considerably lighter, sport a unique suspension, and a new engine.  Rumor has it that Porsche will offer a Macan S with a 335-horsepower, 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 and a Macan Turbo with a 394-horsepower, 3.6-liter twin turbo V6.  A diesel option with a 3.0-liter V6 engine will also be offered, with all three engine options paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch box.

Dubbed Porsche’s new baby SUV, the Porsche Macan is set to feature an entirely new design concept with sleek lines and a full five doors – no boxter look here.  The Macan will be off-road ready with four-wheel drive and a rear-wheel-drive sensation, and as with most Porsche vehicles, comes with normal, sport, and sport plus driving modes.  In addition to its smooth new design, the 2014 Porsche Macan will feature a number of stylish flourishes like quad headlights and a revolutionized interior design that rivals the 911 or Panamera, though the center console remains conserved, with the same large touch screen display Porsche owners have come to know and love.

Set to be unveiled at the Los Angeles Auto Show just before Thanksgiving 2013, Porsche lovers and SUV enthusiasts are sure to have plenty to be thankful for this holiday season.  Contact your local Arizona Porsche dealer for the latest updates.
